I want my Kodachrome

Kodak has discontinued Kodachrome 40 in Super 8 format, but they continue to offer it in other formats, and they introduce new films like Ektachrome 64 in Super 8. Kodachrome offered fine grain and colors that could last for decades. By contrast, a the dyes in a lot of Ektachrome film go wonky after awhile.

What was wrong with good old-fashioned Kodachrome?
